New Ballagh Centre are pleased to announce their new range of arts and craft courses which will be starting in July 2007.

With everything from wood-carving to pottery, painting with acrylics to peg loom weaving, there should be something here to suit everybody!

Competitively priced, most courses run for a full weekend (Saturday and Sunday); some just a single day at the weekend; while the pottery course runs every Wednesday evening over ten weeks.

This is a Food Festival promoting Irish Foods, produced locally, regionally and nationally and is supported by Fáilte Ireland.

The main exhibition area will be outdoors, where all producers can showcase their products in a Market style environment. Venues throughout the town will host cookery demonstrations. Talks and seminars on food related issues and a bio-diversity farm walk along with Wild Flower walk will take place locally.

The first ever Harvest Feast took place on 8th & 9th September 2007 in Leitrim.

The aim of the NOTS training programme is to provide appropriate low cost training for the expanding organic sector throughout the Republic of Ireland.  NOTS courses are available across the country.  Training co-ordinators will be based in the south, east and northwest of Ireland. 

The training programme is flexible and is offered to farmers, processors and consultants who work in the organic sector.  It can assist:

• existing organic producers, individuals or businesses, whether small, medium or large scale
• commercial producers interested in developing their enterprise into an organic business
• new entrants into the sector

Training can also be provided in-house to larger businesses, and NOTS can also provide a range of training courses tailored to the needs of small and large producer companies.  A limited number of academic opportunities are also supported through the programme.
